Administrative Receptionist at UK Based PE firm in Midtown--5x a week in person

Our client, a UK-based private equity firm located in Midtown Manhattan, is looking to hire a polished and professional Receptionist to join their team. This person will work closely with the firm’s longtime Office Manager/Senior Receptionist, who has been with the firm for 4+ years, and will help manage the front desk and day-to-day needs of the office.

This is a great opportunity for a more junior candidate who is eager to learn, grow, and find a long-term home. They are looking for someone polished, personable, flexible, and highly coachable with a great attitude.

The right person will be comfortable taking direction, learning how the office operates, and gradually taking on additional responsibilities as they develop in the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work in tandem with the Office Manager/Senior Receptionist to manage the front desk and reception area
  • Meet and greet clients, visitors, and guests in a polished and professional manner
  • Answer and direct incoming calls and take messages as needed
  • Manage conference room calendars and assist with meeting logistics
  • Order breakfast, lunches, catering, and refreshments as needed
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and coordinate outgoing packages and deliveries
  • Help maintain the organization, appearance, and overall tidiness of the reception area, conference rooms, and shared office spaces
  • Monitor and replenish office and kitchen supplies
  • Assist with light administrative duties including travel booking, meeting scheduling, calendar management, and expense processing
  • Provide coverage and support to the Office Manager/Senior Receptionist as needed
  • Assist with ad hoc administrative and office-related projects
  • Take on additional responsibilities over time as the role develops
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1–3 years of reception, administrative, hospitality, or other relevant professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Polished, professional, and personable
  • Positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and pitch in
  • Coachable and adaptable with the ability to take direction and feedback
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Dependable, discreet, and professional
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Team-oriented with a flexible, no-task-too-small mentality

HOURS & LOCATION:
  • Monday through Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm
  • Midtown Manhattan
  • In office 5 days per week
SALARY & BENEFITS:
  • $70K–$85K base (DOE)
  • 100% employer-paid healthcare
