Manager, Strategic Communications & Events

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Events & Communications Manager with 7+ years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. This individual will play a key role in shaping and executing integrated communications, marketing, and event strategies that drive engagement and mobilize philanthropic action. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and strong executor who can manage multiple priorities while producing polished, compelling content and experiences. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, partners, and external stakeholders to amplify impact and visibility.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive integrated marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies that mobilize philanthropic action and accelerate funding for key initiatives.

  • Develop compelling donor and partner materials, including presentations, impact reports, and engagement tools.

  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of high-profile events that convene philanthropists, thought leaders, and changemakers, curating impactful programming and experiences.

  • Produce and oversee high-quality communications and content such as newsletters, thought leadership pieces, press materials, and event recaps.

  • Manage public relations efforts and external visibility, including agency partnerships, media outreach, and executive speaking opportunities at major conferences and events.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in communications, marketing, and event production within philanthropy, nonprofit, or corporate impact environments.

  • Proven ability to craft compelling narratives and marketing strategies that mobilize philanthropic giving and increase brand visibility.

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, with a strong eye for visual and data-driven storytelling.

  • Deep commitment to social impact and philanthropy, with knowledge of pressing global challenges.

  • Ability to build relationships and trust across varied geographies and cultures.

  • Strong intellectual curiosity and interest in learning across diverse issue areas and global contexts.


Salary:  $150-175K base + Bonus

Hours:  9am-6pm + flexibility after hours for OT & events (Friday's WFH)
