Executive Assistant to Founder of Boutique Hedge Fund in Midtown

Our client, a boutique hedge fund located in Midtown East, is seeking a highly capable, confident, and discreet Executive Assistant to support the Founder/CEO. This is a lean, sophisticated environment where the bar for excellence is high, the pace is fast, and the culture is polished, collaborative, and execution-driven.

The Founder travels frequently between several domestic and international locations and has a Personal Assistant based outside of New York. This EA will collaborate closely with that PA while working hand in hand with the COS. The ideal candidate, is currently supporting some of the most influential men/women in the financial services space (HF, Asset Manager/PE Firm) as the EA to the CEO or CIO. Needs 10-15+ years of direct 1:1 support experience supporting Founders/CEO or CIO in finance. No more than 2 jobs in the past decade. Due to the high volume of candidates for this role, only candidates who meet these exact parameters will be considered for this role. 

The ideal candidate brings exceptional judgment, a strong backbone, and the ability to operate as a true strategic partner to a dynamic, high-profile executive. This role is in office 5x a week in Midtown.


This role requires someone who is proactive, anticipatory, highly organized, and comfortable navigating complex, evolving demands. Some travel will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executive Support & Partnership:
  • Serve as the day-to-day partner to the Founder/CEO, staying closely aligned with priorities and ongoing initiatives
  • Manage and triage a high-volume inbox; oversee follow-ups, action items, and time-sensitive communications
  • Act as a gatekeeper, protecting the executive’s time and managing the flow of information with discretion
  • Partner seamlessly with the remote PA to ensure unified, consistent support

Calendar & Scheduling:
  • Own and manage a complex, constantly shifting calendar across multiple time zones
  • Prioritize competing demands and anticipate needs in advance of all meetings and commitments

Travel Coordination:
  • Arrange domestic and international travel, including multi-leg itineraries, ground logistics, and real-time changes
  • Travel with the Founder on occasion to ensure seamless end-to-end execution

Communication & Correspondence:
  • Draft, edit, and manage emails, documents, and communications with exceptional judgment and precision
  • Interface with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders on behalf of the Founder

Operational & Administrative Support:
  • Handle expenses, reimbursements, and vendor relationships
  • Support the Chief of Staff with special projects, logistics, and operational workflows
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times
 

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must come from a financial services institution (hedge fund, private equity, asset management, investment banking, or similar)
  • 7–10+ years supporting a Founder, CEO, or senior investment leader
  • Strong backbone and ability to navigate a demanding, fast-paced executive
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to anticipate needs and stay several steps ahead
  • Polished and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
  • High discretion with proven experience managing confidential information
  • Confident, steady, and able to build trusted relationships across a lean leadership structure

HOURS:
In office 5x/week, with flexibility to work from home as needed; some travel required
 

SALARY:
Up to $400-450K (DOE) base + discretionary bonus + 100% covered health, dental, and vision
