Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking a Legal Practice Assistant for their New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of legal support experience, providing assistance to attorneys in a variety of practice areas. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a client-first mindset and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, and InTapp are required. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, renowned firm!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys across multiple practice groups
Draft, edit, and proofread legal correspondence and documents
Maintain and organize electronic and physical files
Assist with case management, including calendaring and scheduling meetings, court dates, and deadlines
Handle time entry, expense reports, and client billing tasks
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient workflow and task completion
Perform legal research and assist with document preparation as needed
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client and firm interactions
Ad hoc assignments and projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of experience in a legal assistant or legal administrative support role, preferably in a law firm
Familiarity with multiple areas of law such as litigation, real estate, corporate, and trusts & estates
Excellent communication skills and a strong client service orientation
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and legal document management systems such as InTapp - iManage and PowerPoint is a plus
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience preferred

SALARY:
$80-$115K (DOE) + Excellent Benefits

HOURS:
8/8:30am-5:30/6pm (DOE) + flexibility if needed
